The day it all began

Yesterday, Dec. 27th, marked seven years for us. Do we feel the itch? Heck no! Cheers to many more wonderful years together!

It was soooo cold! The photographer had me use this fake bouquet so my flowers didn't freeze.

The start of AdAmy :)
I love you Weetie!

Walking queen and Christmas dream

Shortly after we returned from Cali, Stella started walking for good. That's right, no more crawling. It took her eighteen months to do it, but now she's the walking queen. For some reason, I only have nude walking pictures and I also posted her first crawling pics of her sporting only her diaper. I promise she really does wear clothing most of the time, Stella just likes to show off her new skills in the buff.

Ahhh.........the Christmas dream: Family, Christmas tree, warm toasty firelight and festive tunes playing in the background. I'm lovin' it!

California.......the final post

Every time we visit Encinitas, there's always a game or two of basketball to be played at the local park. Here are some great shots of the boys in action.

L to R: Adam's bro. Jared, Adam, bro-in-law, Sam

Adam dominated, as usual ;)

How do you like the new haircut I gave Grandma Judy? Classy eh?

Adam's sister, Erin had me add bangs to her do. She should have done it forever ago, so sassy. Claire decided she wasn't in the mood to have her picture taken.

Such a grand ol' time we had for the holiday. The depressing part of the vacation was when I discovered my first gray hairs (yes, that's plural, two to be exact) on Thanksgiving morning. I never thought I would see the day. I have been letting my natural color grow out and now I am second guessing the idea. I guess I AM nearing 30, so that's not all too early to be seeing the first signs that I am indeed aging and won't stay young forever (tears).

Cardiff beach

Of course you can't go to Encinitas without spending time on the shoreline. It was suppose to rain most of the time we were there, but the weather was actually quite pleasant. Most of the rain came while we were sleeping. As you can see, it was warm enough to sport bathing suits alone. Gotta love it!

we enjoyed exploring the tide pools

always practicing the walk

Wild animal park

For a week over Thanksgiving we went to California to stay with Adam's mother who lives in Encinitas. All of Adam's siblings were there except his brother Jason and his family. The day after we arrived we went to the Wild animal park in San Diego. Here are some lovely pictures of our lovely day.

We were on a safari ride for this shot. Look closely and you'll see animals in the background.

Claire loved the petting zoo and couldn't stop talking about a deer with the missing eye. She felt so sorry for it.

Adam bent down and this deer just starting licking his head and would've probably done it all night if Adam let it. Gross and a little painful.

Girls just wanna have fun.......and be a little crazy

On the first weekend of November, all of the girls in my family ( me, my Mom and sisters) took our annual trip to SLC without kids or hubbies. We do a lot of shopping, eating yummy food, movies, talking, (unfortunately, a lot of politics this time, oh well, tis the season) laughing and yes being silly and crazy. My youngest sister, Breck had the idea for all of us to do our best crazy person face for a picture (she was the one with the camera). We all took turns and were laughing hysterically after viewing each one, while riding to our next destination. When it came to her turn, she didn't want to do it until we convinced her later to do a crazed impulse buyer face after shopping at the mall. We all thought it was hilarious and perfect. When I had Breck e-mail the pics from our trip to me, her crazy person pic was missing. She decided she didn't look good enough and deleted her picture. Silly girl. So I only get to share the rest of ours, and too bad these pictures aren't larger, (this is as big as I could get them to post for some reason) so you can really appreciate their greatness. :) I'm sure these pictures won't be near as funny to everyone else as they were to us at the time, you know how it goes.

The sisters posing by a "Twilight" poster with some random guy who insisted on being in the picture with us because "he loved the books too". Strange moment. Yes, I did read the books, and I did indeed enjoy the movie, obviously not as good as the book, but I thought it was well done. I am a fan, but I wouldn't consider myself obsessed. I do not own any "Twilight" paraphernalia. Just thought I would get that out there.
